Innovator approached us with an idea of creating a mini waste bin fitted at the cup holder of a vehicle for the convenience of the driver.
As shown on the right, the initial design consists of two bodies. The purpose of having an inner frame is aid waste disposal. And to aid extraction of the inner body, a handle is added. Finally, a cover was considered to conceal and keep trash from spilling.
The idea is brilliant but the design can be improved.
ODMsg's design enhancement :
Drop-down flaps for one-step trash deposit. The flaps act as a shallow dish to temporary hold trash. In addition, as the flaps are mounted to the inner frame, the handle can be eliminated, allowing the bin to be more space efficient.
The application of this chic trash bin can be extended to homes, offices and places that need ambience like hotels.
